Coating PEI plate crumbles

Hi,

I have my A1 for 5 month now with 192 hours of printing, (recently) with firmware: 01.04.00.00.
Today i was printing and i heard a very ugly scraping sound.

When i looked i saw this:

I have read in a closed topic, that some of u have wear spots, but this doesn’t look like a wear spot to me…
It looks more like a material defect…, or damaged by the firmware update…
Or…, did i maybe do something wrong…
What do you think…

No this is normal, part of cleaning in startup sequence

Mine is like a mirror in this area, nothing wrong, just wear and tear.
The nozzle goes over it until nothing it left.
Since it is just for the cleaning of the tip…
Give it a few weeks and there will be nothing left on your plate as well :wink:
