I get confused on what settings I need to put into Bambu Studio whenever I change a reel of filament over from say one colour of PLA to another or from PLA to PETG. Is there a guide somewhere I can read or a video I can watch?

If you are using AMS’s with RFID based filament then there is no need to change anything. Just sync the printer and filaments in Bambu Studio and it will set the appropriate filament settings. The global settings may need to be adjusted for your model since it defines things like layer height and ironing.
