Anyone know what causes this second layer wall difference? I’ve adjusted wall count, wall generator (arachne vs classic), bottom layer count, both paint penetrations, top layer count, solid infill pattern, and nothing.
Once printed, the second layer is showing through the first layer and looks bad.
Sometimes you can fix it but turning the object (e.g. by 45°) on the print plate.
However, that’s the reason why my inprints (e.g. text on the model with different color) are two layer heights at minimum.
I assume the colors are painted? These anchors are subsequently generated to provide good interlocking. If you want to avoid them, try using modifiers for the color change.
I have not tried it myself, but you may be able to also use them to box in a painted area. Just be aware that the order in which they appear in the object tree matters. Fortunately, you can drag-and-drop to change the order.
