I have been trying to get the right settings when using HIPS as a support medium with Bambulabs ABS filament. This is a generic HIPS spool. It seems that the HIPS layer does not want to lay down on the ABS layer and instead extrudes platter all over the place.
I never got this resolved to a state where I knew exactly what I was doing and how to fix it. All I can tell you is that in almost all cases it was because the two material types were not suited for use together in this scenario. I had very mixed success with HIPS to the point where I have pretty much stopped using it. What filaments are you using here, and I assume you are using the top material as a support medium?
I’ve actually solved this issue and now faced with a different issue.
I’m printing ASA with HIPS as support interface. I’m on a quest to making this combination work. Been through many issues and been able to solve a lot of the issues and now faced with just one more problem which you can see here.
There are just so many combinations and different settings that I’ve tried I can’t recall exactly which one solved the issue you’re having but I think it was speed and fan settings.
