Cookie cutter disaster

Hi all
Trying to print some cookie cutters and I’m having an issue with the thickness of the walls and the overall finish.

Tried opening a new box of filament.
Tried increasing wall loops, changing the slicer mode from Classic to Archaine".
Tried clicking on “Detect thin walls”.
Tried on three different models and still got the same result.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bambu X1E
123 3D filament
0.4 nozzle

Make sure you are slicing Generic PLA not Bambu Basic

Does it also happen with a different model and different filament?

If yes, there maybe could be a problem with correct extrusion. First check your nozzle for a clog. Use the needle that comes with your printer.

Since you are using a 3rd party filament, I suggest you start with the generic PLA filament profiles and perform calibrations for pressure advance and flow ratio.

to me this looks like a partial clog (most likely) or the threshhold of having a heat creep clog

If “123 3D filament” is PLA, make sure you’re printing with at least one of: 1) door open 2) top glass open 3) a vented riser for the top glass so that heat can escape. Otherwise heat can accumulate and cause your filament to melt higher up in the extruder than expected, and the gears dont do well pushing playdoh

Yes bud. Doing that. It’s pretty much the only setting I use

Yes it does. So, I’ll try the unclogging pin tomorrow and see what happens.

I have another 0.4 I can fit to see if that improves it

Oh interesting. Not heard that before. Will try that.
Going to a) try and unclog the nozzle, and b) if that doesn’t work I’ll swap in for another 0.4
Thanks bud

Ok. So how do I do that? Is there a tutorial?

It is here in the wiki.

Thanks bud. Trying it now
