Couple of H2C Questions (maintenance counter, vision encoder, Toolhead noise)

after my first H2C was replaced because it was not able to produce a good first layer (even after tramming etc.) i yesterday received the new one. First Layer now is almost perfect, so i am now even more sure, that the first one had some kind of problem.

But since i am now able to compare both machines in other regards i noticed a few things and would like to clarify if this is normal or if there is anything i can do about it (Ticket is already open but since support is slow i also try my luck here).

  1. I used the first H2C for about 200 hours. Not once did it ask me to do maintenance work. When i checked the counters in the menu before sending it back they were at ~ half. The new one has 7 hours on the clock and already wants me to do maintenance stuff (lubrication etc.). This sounds pretty strange to me. I reseted the counters but still find it confusing.
  2. As on the old one, i used the vision encoder. The result looked kind of “extreme”. I am currently not at home and did not take a picture, so i tried to do a quick (bad) visualisation through the below picuture. More or less (regarding the calibration) everything was angled pretty hard from the front right to the back left. The deviation looked pretty bad (especially compared to the first H2C). The grey part should visualize how it was before the calibration regarding the after picture that was shown on the display. Should i be worried?
  3. when the toolhead moves left to right or right to left a kind of “rattling” sound is audible. I made a quick video during the vision encoder calibration. When the tooldhead goes to the front at the beginning of the video its quite good to hear (Link to the video: iCloud Photos - Apple iCloud ) The old H2C did not make that sound.

I can’t hear any rattling noise except for the clunk of the filament cutter level deploying when the toolhead gets to the back of the printer.

I don’t know what’s going on with the optical encoder- maybe the camera is tilted a little? I’d check the screws that hold it in place and make sure they’re tight. Also make sure there’s nothing under the encoder plate- it there’s a little scrap of plastic under it I think it could cause all sorts of trouble.

The rattling is not loud, but its there. There was nothing below the vision encoder plate and i did the calibration twice. One time during the initial setup and again after a firmware update, reset and another calibration. The result was the same. Camera looks fine. Since its also used during nozzle offset calibration etc. i dont think there is a problem with the camera. Prints look fine (but so far i did not print anything tall)
