Creator Center > Wallet > Income & Payout ? What is this?

I clicked on Creator Center today, something I don’t do that often but I find the word cloud helpful when thinking about what to design next. That’s when I noticed a “new” section of this page, ‘Wallet’.

When did the ‘Wallet > Income & Payout’ section go live? I feel like I’m out of the loop. Is Makerworld preparing to roll out model sales soon? I briefly searched on the forums, but didn’t find anything.

Exclusive Model Program: Cash Rewards and Copyright Support (bambulab.com)

There are a number of other posts related to the MW site updates that appear to be being added piece by piece.

Thank you @ozarkexpeditions and @MalcTheOracle I knew you’d both come to my rescue with the answers!

This is really cool! I still want to redeem for another Bambu printer, but I see having the option for cash payout attracting more designer talent to the site.

It seems that in order to earn cash reward points, the model needs to be set to the Standard Digital File License. I’m not a big fan of this because it restricts us from building upon each other’s models through remixes or derivative designs. I might occasionally create something under the standard license, but it would limit the collaborative and creative synergy in our community.

Am I interpreting this correctly?

If this is the case, I wonder if Makerworld could allow an additional license type, something that enforces exclusivity to the makerworld site, but allows for derivatives and sharing alike.

Me too, I’m saving points for one of the 256x256 printers (currently have the mini)
From the blog post it suggests it might still be worth joining the program…

In addition to redeeming items in the points shop, Exclusive Points offer the unique advantage of being convertible into cash rewards

So it seems if I mark all models as exclusive then I will receive 25% more points and can still redeem those exclusive points for gift cards rather than USD.

Exactly, you can use the exclusive model points for the points shop, or converting it to actual currency. Models must meet the guidelines below or risk getting a point reduction if they are inaccurately marked as Exclusive by the designer. I really hope that the MakerWorld team can commit to moderating this because I think it’s going to be an awesome improvement to the site!

I would like to ask a question because I did not find anything that specified: once the points have been converted into money they are deposited into the user’s wallet, but then how is this money actually transferred?
To a PayPal account or other system?
I couldn’t find any information about it

It’s wire transferred to a bank account that you link using Airwallex:

Thank you so much for the clarification

Has anyone actually recieved a payout from this company? Seems very sketchy and there is no way I am giving them my bank account info.

check out all the 1 star reviews:

I’m currently awaiting authentication on my ID, but I’m on the fence whether they’ll approve it or not, because the AI decided that it didn’t match my nationality. I’m a Danish citizen, but was born in South Korea - which of course is stated on my driver’s license, which I used for verification as it has a picture, and I couldn’t be bothered to find my passport.

I’m pretty annoyed and very surprised that Bambu Lab hasn’t made it possible to transfer to a PayPal account. We can use PayPal on the Store, so it shouldn’t be all that hard to implement payout to a PayPal account.

4 out of 4 of the transfers for me have come within 12 hours

I wouldn’t trust those kinds of reviews, look at PayPal on the same site: Paypal Reviews | Read Customer Service Reviews of www.paypal.com

Most reviews on these kinds of sites only come from people with issues so expect every company to have many 1-star reviews. Also, it’s not like Airwallex is some random unknown company, maybe unknown in the US, but it’s used often internationally.

@Kit_Crafters Quick question – I redeemed points for cash two days ago, but my income summary still shows $0 across all values. I expected the pending income to increase by the amount I redeemed, and after the review period, it would then appear under the “Remaining to transfer” section.

I can submit a ticket, but I thought I’d ask here first since it sounds like you’ve successfully used this feature.

Oh I got you, yeah after redeeming, the Creator Center will say $0 for Pending Income. It took a couple days but I got a System Notification on MakerWorld that the redemption has been cleared and then it shows up in the Creator Center.

So the “Pending Income” has always been $0 for me and it goes right to “Total Income” and “Remaining to Transfer”.

The notification will look like this:

Many thanks for the quick response. Hopefully they can better document that for the program. Cheers,

Good point. There will always be people that have problems. I just have never heard of this company. What sort of ID do they ask for?

So to be honest, the process was so fast and quick for me I don’t remember any verification. I just put my details and info, didn’t upload any ID or anything as I wasn’t asked for it, and then clicked submit.

Basically immediately I could submit for a transfer. I’m in the USA if that matters for how it works

I tried to create an Airwallex account but the system requires company and business data that I can not provide. I would like to register as a private person, I do not like this airwallex. Why is it not possible to use a Paypal?
