Custom raft

Hi,

I’m trying to create a custom PLA raft for my PETG part to help detach it from the plate for FarmLoop. I have added a primitive to the part in question and then set that primitive to print using PLA. I have then stacked the PETG part on top of the primitive PLA layers. The problem I’m having is the PETG now doesn’t have any bottom layers as it’s using the PLA primitive as its bottom layers. Does anyone who how to solve this or know of a better way to create a solid PLA raft for a PETG part.

Would this work ?

Thanks for the response. I have tried that but I want the raft to be solid because if its not it leaves a weird pattern on the bottom of the PETG part

That could be being caused by the interface layers . play with the z distance option to see if you can get a better result ,

So currently I have the Z distance set to 0. Are you saying to try a higher value, something like 0.2

Default is 0.1 as shown in the image above .

Yeah I see my problem, I have to set top z distance to 0.2 for that setting to show up

Bambu studio beta 2.7.0.55 if you need to update

I’m using that version of bambu

Sadly that hasn’t worked, the increased distance means the petg failed to stick to the PLA raft
