Cut solder mask for SMD soldering with cutter kit

Hi,
has anyone experience with creating solder mask with the H2D and the cutter kit?

By solder mask are you referring to trying to cut a solder stencil? This lays over a board to facilitate the application of solder paste. Solder mask is the physical layer on a PCB that is adhered to the copper layer. This would be much harder to remove with a cutter.

A stencil for larger parts such as 0805 should be possible. The cricut style machines have been used for DIY stencils for quite some time which means the H series cutter should be able to do it. Anything smaller I wouldn’t expect success but don’t let that stop you from trying.
