Great to see, been waiting for this. One curious thing though, the kit has no BirdsEye Camera.
Question for people with the laser combo: wasn’t BirdsEye Camera also used for cutting operation? Wouldn’t want to cut things ‘blind’.
Based on the laser upgrade kit manual, the BirdsEye Camera is effectively a ‘straight install’ upgrade, but there’s no info provided from Bambu on whether installing it alone without the rest of the laser kit will trigger some hardware errors not allowing you to use it (for cutting)
(In other words, can I just buy 1 Cutting Upgrade Kit + 1 BirdsEye Camera to get the full cutting experience? @SupportAssistant)
Yes, buying both items should allow you to use the Cutter function as expected.
But please note - it is not mandatory to get the camera as it is currently not supported for calibration without a firmware update.

I see the birds eye camera for £50 but no cover for it.
there is normally a cover for it? or you mean that little privacy sliding sticker that you get for laptop cameras?
The video for replacing a broken one shows a little dome cover attached to the inside of the case rim.
I have the camera, cutting module and a 4 pack of vinyl in my cart of ~$180. I’ll think about it for a few, not sure if I would use the cutting module.
The main use for the cutting module is to cut patterns out of the vinyl to make iron-ons?

It’s an amzing price, it would have been so easy for bambu or any other companies to jack the price of this right up as there will be good demand for it.

Ah, I see what your saying, It does actually come with that plastic surround for the camera (mine did), and also some silicon glue to stick it down with if needed, but it all clips into place nice and snug. Takes only a few minutes to install

I have a question: the cutting pack and the camera are purchased, which is great, I’m happy. But do I also need to get the emergency stop button?

THANK YOU. I can’t believe the price, I had guessed around €250 and very happy with €49 for the kit, I could not believe it. Glad I did not purchase all the components in advance.

Thankfully I read this thread while I still had time to cancel my order and reorder with the camera as I had no idea I also needed the birds eye camera.
