Cutting module looses calibration frequently and cutting module issues

Hi,

We recently received the cutting module and completed the initial calibration. However, after minimal use, the printer has prompted us twice that the cutting module is not calibrated and that we need to redo the initial calibration. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Additionally, we’ve noticed that the knives wear out very quickly. After only a short period of use, the tip of the first knife is already worn down and requires replacement.

Additionally, the pen attachment is quite wobbly in both the x and y directions, resulting in inaccurate lines. I printed a stabilizer that helps somewhat, but there is still room for improvement.

Furthermore, Bambu Suite has been crashing frequently on Windows 10, and the software seems somewhat unfinished.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues? The cutting and drawing features are pretty awesome though. The pen plotter feature, in particular, is great because the H2D can measure the pen’s pressure, resulting in incredibly consistent lines. In the past, I’ve built a few pen plotters, and my main challenge was always maintaining consistent and the right pen pressure on the paper.

Thank you!

To get it calibrated what exacted did you need to buy? The Cutting upgrade and the birds eye view? did you have to buy the laser module as well?

are you cutting paper? It’s well known that blades wear out way faster when you cut paper. Any cricut / cameo users that cut paper regularly will have cheap Aliexpress spare blades lying around to replace when necessary.

Bambu spare blades however, are kinda expensive so you’ll just have to wait until 3rd party companies sell them for cheap.

The cricut “maker” blades (or “explore air”" or expression" which are the same) work fine with the bambu cutter, there are exactly the same so you can buy the aliexpress or amazon sets and can even try the other angle options (30° or 60°) in addition to the 45° originals.
