Just received a few dark moon build plates for the h2d. I have the satin and freeze to name a few. Unfortunately, I’m getting an alignment error whenever I’ve never seen before. Normally with say the BIQU cryogrip I’ll get a message build plate not detected which is normal and I just ignore the error. Alignment error is concerning and am not confident enough to ignore the alignment error. So I emailed Darkmoon, and am less then excused with their response. They said, “This has been an issue after a recent Bambu Lab firmware update with plates thicker than the printer expects. Bambu Lab is aware of the issue and I believe the next firmware update (and/or Bambu Studio update) will resolve this. Ensure your printer and Bambu Studio remain up-to-date and this issue should go away.” I have the most up to date bamby suite and printer drivers. Anybody else have this experience? Any advice or thoughts. Thanks in advance

If the root of the problem is that the actual thickness is thicker than the expected thickness based on the optical glyph identification, have you tried turning off optical build plate identification on the theory that hen it wouldn’t know what to expect? You could do the disabling at the machine console under settings.
I have only one darkmoon build plate, the g10, and it has far higher adhesion than other g10 build plates I’ve used in the past. Those were ideal for PETG, but not the darkmoon g10. That’s initial imression. I soon adopted frostbite instead, so I never had a reason to dig deeper into the darkmoon g10. Maybe someday if I need a backup and a frostbite isn’t available. Right now the consensus opinion is that frostbite is king at PLA, PETG, and ABS. Glacier is king at PPS-CF. I purchased the Darkmoon before I knew that.
I don’t think it has to do with the ticknrss, but rather with the alignment on the back and on the right side at the front of the build plate.
Since the last firmware update it used the tool head camera to check the position of the plate in X and Y.
Either, the build plate has not the correct dimensions, the shape of the plate is incorrect, or the color is giving issues with the camera.
I sincerely doubt that the thickness is the problem.
Did you happen to find a resolution? I just started using a Darkmoon Satin plate yesterday on my H2D and having the same build plate alignment warnings.
just disable the warning then. it’s not solvable.
