The additional connection of AMS-HT shows us that there’s no actual technical limit for connecting more AMS units. Each hotend can have up to 4 AMSs connected without the need of secondary 4-in-1-out hubs. So that in theory should allow us to have 2x3x4+2x1=26 different materials, if we’re using a 6x AMS+ 2x AMS HT configuration.
I know that AMS HT is cool and I own one, but I don’t have the need (and the space) to put 8 HTs. It’s a single spool unit and managing them takes a lot of manual labour. It’s nothing as convenient as the 4 spool AMS units.
For the love of god, please allow us to connect more 4 spool AMS units, I don’t even mind if you keep the 24 color limit for probably weird business reasons. But hear me out, I want to have a lot of different PLAs, I want to have a couple different PETGs, I want to have a couple PETG-CFs and ABS-GFs, I want to have a TPU for AMS and a Support material inside…
