Desktop software connection

What am I doing wrong?
I have downloaded the Cyberbrick PC (Windows) software but when I plug in a transmitter/reciever core via USB and use ‘Device management’ there is nothing showing.
I can find them with the Android app so I know they are working

Did you try connecting via Bluetooth from your Windows PC?

I do not have Bluetooth on my Desktop. I am connecting via USB as the instructions on Makerworld tell me to

I am not sure the USB interface has the same connectivity.

I have been told previously that when connected to USB, several things including the motors are not operable.

I have no confirmation for that though.

Have you considered grabbing a Bluetooth dongle for the PC? Plug it into a spare USB socket. In the U.K. they can be found for as little as £5 on Amazon.

When CyberBrick connects to a computer, it still needs to connect via Bluetooth

I have now got a Bluetooth dongle and I can connect finaly.
It is beyond me why the instruction manual does not mention anywhere that it has to be Bluetooth. It just says connect via USBc cable.

So far I have had to flash 2 of my four core boards to get them to work (thanks to the helpdesk for that, although it took 2 days to reply)

My next issue is with the remote control (Lithium version). I got it up and running yesterday and all was fine. This morning it will not connect to Bluetooth.
I recharged the battery just in case that was the problem but still no joy.
If I remove the core board and power via USB it connects but if I put it back into the transmitter board it fails.
