Hi there, I am desperate with Esun and in general wit cardboard spool, mostly I print ABS ASA and PLA, i tried 2 or 3 types of plastic rings, weight inside the spoll, electric tape and other tipe of tape but nothing, I have always the same error [Assist Motor Overload Error] and the roll get messy. Please help me
Reespool using plastic spools. You will get rid of the AMS problems and of the high humidity content of the cardboard.

Also make sure the spool is in the correct grove in the front, I had a couple of issues when I first got mine and that was the issue.
Always double checked, i don’t think this is the issue.
I use these successfully, they work great and the designer is responsive to new spool designs.
I have all the eSun filaments and these models fit great.
With eSun in an AMS 1 on a P1S I also had feed issues by default. The spools are taller and narrower than bambu’s blessed dimensions
I had to do All of:
- Rings like what Malc linked, in PLA, with a MINOR fuzzy skin on the exterior of that ring that the rollers run on. Sidenote I tried 64D TPU as well and this was a disaster lol, PLA w/ texture is good

- Spool weight - Filled with steel nuts
Check if the spool is grinding against one of the spool guides in the back of the AMS. I cut out the guide that was creating dust and no more issues now.
