Is the dessicant supplied a change colour type? how do I know when it is no longer working?
Working solely off the photos provided in the product page as there doesn’t appear to be any specific information…
The photo shows desiccant with a proportion of orange beads amongst white ones.
This indicates the orange ones are colour changing, it does not guarantee it.
If correct, the orange ones go dark when they have saturated.
If you are going to open the packs to pour them into printed containers to insert into the AMS units, choose those that contain a socket for a humidity sensor.
You will then be given two ways of knowing when they require recharging (drying), the humidity sensor percentage and the AMS humidity score (1 to 5).
You choose when you recharge them based on the level you believe is acceptable.
Neither of those methods require you observing the orange beads changing colour.
It’s a mix of uncolored beads and a few orange color changing beads. The orange ones will turn green to indicate it’s time to change the desiccant pack.
