Just received my X2D. I am using a diamondback nozzle in my Prusa Core One, and find it excellent. I just ordered one for the primary nozzle on my X2D, but am thinking about what to do for the secondary. I am not only using the secondary for support, it will sometimes be used for a second color on the object. I also have an unopened BL Tungsten nozzle that I could put in the secondary for the odd occasion if I need to mix colors of abrasive materials on the same print. But I see that tungsten’s heat conductivity is not as good as the diamondback. On my Prusa, I just swapped in the Diamondback and had no need to change any of my default or custom filament profiles. I expect the same for the Diamondback on the X2D, but wondering if the tungsten will introduce issues. Maybe I’m best sticking with two Diamondbacks and being done with it. Never needing another nozzle for as long as I’m likely to own this printer…

I like the generic nozzles which have a removable/replaceable tip. Easy to get rid of a clog and cheap.
Bambu appears to be doing what they can to make it difficult for third parties to produce hotends, as evidenced by the purple hotend exclusion BS.
Tungsten has great thermal conductivity and excellent durability, I hate to reward bad behavior from Bambu but if the WCs get you 90% of the way to the diamond nozzle performance and never risk being bricked by a firmware update, I’d kinda want to go with the WC nozzle just to not risk losing my investment.
What you are printing in multiple colours that needs a diamondback or tungsten?
Diamond doesn’t stick to filament, the nozzles leave a very nice surface finish, that would be really good for printed supports.
Nothing yet, but I use PA612-CF15 a lot and there are also some interesting colored ASA-CF filaments from Polymaker. I’d rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it…

This is disingenuous. You can buy all the third party nozzles you wish on AliExpress, and have been able to for years.

I first would try the original high flow nozzle at a third of the price. Maybe it’s more than good enough?
I do some very small and fine prints with 0.2 nozzles, and I cannot see any difference in the print. Plus you get a bag of spare tips and the tools to insert/remove them if you need to replace them or get a bad clog.
