I noticed when printing PETG on A1 mini, stringing started to form on print from about 1cm height of heatbed. It got worse as print height increase. I have to change filament cooling setting by lowering the layer time threshold to compensate the fast cooling because of lack of enclosure. The lower cooling setting basically eliminated the stringing issue for me. I think the default cooling setting was created based on X1. As Bambu Lab introduced more non-enclosed printers, using X1 filament setting on them were not adequate.
I would suggest Bambu Studio to provide and apply different filament cooling config based on the chosen device (whether it is enclosed or not). This could improve out of box print quality and experience.
