Good question. In my view, the flow dynamics calibration would apply equally to both nozzle exit flow and deposition, so it takes care of itself and the calculation works without it. The really interesting test would be a max flow test though. Looking at spoolWorks Scaffold Filament - 1.75mm - 500g | YouPrintin3D, there’s no max flow given. Only the 50mm/s speed (like in pre-High Speed times 
). I expect that was the initial problem leading to the question.
@B-Jay : I have never had much luck with PVA myself. But BVOH from Fiberlogy worked like a dream for PLA. Not so much use for it now though since discovering PETG for PLA and PLA for PETG and more.
