Let’s face it, the aux fan ruins EVERY. SINGLE. PRINT.
I know you can disable it from filament profiles but every time you load a model from Makerworld it will import the stupid filament settings from whoever posted the print profile and you have to remember to change them back manually and disable the aux fan yet again.
Is there a way to permanently disable it via software?
Or do I have to find a tutorial to disassemble the machine and unplug the fan?
Does anyone have any documentation on this?

Haha I know, right?! I had a “deflector” on it in case I use the wrong filament profile but decided it was a waste of fan so I’m turning my aux fan into an air filter.

How does it ruin it? I’ve always left it as it came, can you explain why I should turn it off?
In large flat models it can affect bed adhesion on zones near the air flow and increase warping.

I never use the Aux fan. It does more harm than good
I’m still on the fence with this one-
In the early days i ran it at like 75% and tried to position overhangs facing it
I never had any issues with uneven cooling somehow, but i read plenty of other folks having problems so i dropped it to 15-25%
I think a little aux fan could keep tall thin stuff from heat soaking from the bed and sagging-
I always face my overhangs towards the aux fan so they cool faster and I move the head quicker when printing them. I do turn off cooling for the first 7 layers, to prevent warping though.
