Disturbingly high quality. Help please

I printed the bed scraper from the demo files on my P2S. You’re going to think I’m crazy, but the quality was so good that I feel I’m missing out on some super settings. Obviously, it could be the filament, the brand of which I will not mention until I find out what’s going on. The problem is, I don’t know how to get that demo file from my P2S to Bambu Studio so I can study the settings. I’ve looked at dozens of variants on MakerWorld, but I really want the exact file. Any help will be appreciated.

This is a side note: I always think it is funny that most of the links on that page go straight to printables.

They go to Makerworld for me. I looked on maker world first and couldnt find them so I looked in the wiki.

Wdym?

The link embedded into the page is a printables link.

Hmm when you say embedded explain that to me. How are you seeing it.

Just click on the top few models. Like the bed scrapper that is fully printed goes to printables, but the one with the metal blade goes to MW.

I was mostly generalizing the whole page instead of focusing on just one model.

Thank you!!!

It would appear that you sent me right where I needed to go. But… When I download the zip folder for the P2S, I got two folders– one for .3mf files and another for .stl files. The .stl files open and show the model on the build plate. But the settings are my custom settings as I expected.

But when I click on the .3mf version, Studio opens and shows some custom settings but the build plate is empty. Got any ideas?

The .stl version is named: Scraper + Grip_ams.stl

The .3mf version is named: Scraper Grip by AMS.gcode.3mf

The filename on my P2S screen is: Scraper Grip_AMS Bambu Lab

I assume the 3mf is bambu profile. The stl is just the model.

Yeah I see now.I just noticed that, if you read the description it tells you who’s file it is , the benchy goes to 3dbenchy.com. Lucky I assumed the OP was talking about the metal scraper and that is the one I clicked to see if it had a profile.

I see the same thing here, for the “AMS” version. There’s a brief flash of an error message at the bottom right of the preview window, but it’s too quick to read. Not seeing any modified settings either, even though “Others” is lit up like there should be some. I checked the log but there was no obvious error message (but the load seemed incomplete).

If you can see the changed properties in your version, perhaps that’s all you need?

The “Scraper Grip.gcode.3mf” file open OK, and shows changed settings. But they seem to have significantly different properties. I compared the “project_settings.config” files inside the 3MF archives (they’re plain zip files) and there are a lot of differences… too many to track/correlate. Almost like they were created for entirely different printers. The “AMS” version says it is also compatible with A1 and H2 series printers, the other does not, which would explain a lot of the differences. And perhaps a reason for the loading error. :person_shrugging:

Sorry can’t be of more help,

I was taking some things for granted, which scraper are you looking at?, if you grab the one that uses a metal blade it should be on Makerworld and you should have the choice of downloading the 3mf or even “Open in Bambu Studio” directly.

Yes, I mentioned in my original post that there were lots of variants in MW. I wanted to stick with the actual file which is in my P2S demo folder under the name: “Scraper Grip_AMS Bambu Lab”. I never use the demo files but I thought I’d give it a try. I was surprised that my touch screen didn’t allow the PETG I had loaded, insisted on PLA. I’ve printed tons of stuff over the years and have never seen anything this smooth. I’d post a pic but you’d have to feel it to appreciate the quality.

It show the one with the metal blade is on the P2s. that is where I found it.

Okay, I think we can wind this up. Rusty 35 posted the MW version which probably is the exact file on my P2S. ( Bambu Scraper Grip - Free 3D Print Model - MakerWorld ) I’ll never know for sure unless someone can come up with a way of directly lifting the file off the P2S as it ships.

And I realize how silly this search must seem. I was just hoping to examine the profile to see if there was some kind of obscure setting that takes a print into a whole different level of quality.

I didn’t reveal the filament before because I wanted to keep it out of the equation. But now I’ll tell you that is was Voxel PLA, fire engine red (maybe a year old sitting on the shelf with no drying before the printing).

I used to really enjoy using their stuff because it “seems” better to my eye. But, alas, I had to dump them after a string of poor customer support issues that had nothing to do with the quality of the filament.

Thanks to all who participated in my search.

Print the one on makerworld and compare.

Yep. Will do. Extra characters.

I printed one of these with the file available on MW. The one that I was so impressed with (the one that may contain the super sauce) was printed right off my P2S touch screen from the demo files. When I drag my fingernail across one of them, I can feel the layer lines. On the other one, I cannot. Which file do you think shipped with the P2S, The upper one, or the lower one?

Can you use Handy to down load the one from Makerworld and print it ?

Never mind I just looked at how it works.
