Does anyone know what the deal with these “Worry Free Delivery” charges I have seen cropping up on a few sites lately, including Bambu Labs?
Perhaps it is a country thing, but I kind of thought the seller was obliged to make sure the order arrives as described, free from loss or damage. Why do I need to give them extra money to have that privilege?
I assume that this is the future? “Sures be a shame if something happened to your package in here transit ta where youse live. Youse gonna wanna pay up, see?”
It’s a money grab. You’re already protected by your credit card and if there’s an issue with the package handling, it’s Bambu’s problem to deal with.
I mean, yeah. It’s the fact that even Bambu feels free to go ahead and try this that I find rather disturbing. I am going to assume every site will soon have this option, and in the near future will make it very difficult to process any kind of complaint that was not “insured”.
Of course, all I can do is complain so… I am just disappointed.
It’s a scam, but I’m wondering if it might be worth it on the heavy damage prone printers.
Good luck collecting from them if you really need it. It’s like having two insurance policies, one will point to the other for responsibility and you’ll be lucky if you get anything out of it. Personally, I refuse to pay these types of add-ons. It’s just another way they make a little more money off you.
It’s a disaster IMO - it sounds like it would be good, a fastpass for refunds when shipping gets screwed, but they just waste your time pointing fingers at each other being the liable one. Chargeback is the true fastpass for refunds when shipping gets screwed.
