Do I need to enter the filament info into the printer itself, or does it just take whatever I’ve indicated in Bambu Studio. For instance, I load up blue generic PLA and don’t bother setting it on the printer itself, but in Bambu Studio, I have Bambu Labs Blue selected and slice it with those settings. Will it ignore what the printer thinks it has and use the settings I told it in Bambu Studio?
No, you don’t need to enter the filament into the printer. I just enter the details in Bambu Studio in the details tab. B.S. can get the info from the printer if you choose to enter it there, but the bottom line is that the info in B.S. is what’s important. That’s how it ultimately slices the model with the filament and settings you use within B.S.

It depends on where you are entering it on Bambu Studio.
Firstly, the printer needs to know what filament you have. You mention you use Bambu Lab filaments, thus means your ANS (assuming you have one) will automatically detect the spool and know which type, sub type and colour of filament you have.
If you are not using Bambu Lab filaments or using the external input (no AMS), you must tell the printer what filament you are using.
You can enter the filament you are using spin the LCD screen if the printer on any printer except the P1P & P1S.
You can also use the Device tab of Bambu Studio, by selecting the external swatch if you are using that, or for non-Bambu Lab filaments in an AMS, use the edit option on the corresponding slot.
You can also do all of this using the Bambu
Handy Device tab.
When using the Bambu Studio Prepare tab, you are selecting filaments to setup your model as you wish it to be. When you slice and choose to print, you can let .bambu Studio guess the closest matches from your model choices to those in your AMS. Always review these as realising your mistake mid-print is annoying at best.
A tip: Your model uses red, white, and blue, when you go to print, your AMS has red, black, orange, and yellow.
You can simply choose from the colours you have in the ANS and you do NOT need to make any changes to your model before printing.
