If you pick a different one than the one I use, then its useless for me and all the other members that have different than you. Where Sketchup command and syntax are completely different then Fusion360.

Which is why it was suggested to have a general CAD section with several subsections , one for each CAD software of interest. Obviously, the free CAD versions will be most likely in demand, but additional subsections for other CAD software could be added, if enough users manifest interest in contributing to them.
I think we need a section on this forum to discuss whether we need a 3D CAD section on this forum.
I have not seen any prohibition or restrictions on posting 3D topics so far. Suppose those with CAD questions just continue to post in âOther topicsâ? If those questions become so common that an entire section is warranted, it could be added once the need has been proven. Meanwhile, the Search function still works well to research answers to previous questions.
