I ran into something strange and I’m not sure if it’s a bug, a known limitation, or something I’m doing wrong — so I’d love some clarification.
**My setup:**
- Printer: Bambu Lab H2S, 0.6 mm High Flow nozzle
- Slicer: Bambu Studio 2.5.3.61
- Material: PLA
- Layer height: 0.3 mm
**The part:**
A climbing hold with a constant 45° overhang along a large portion of the model. Not a dramatic overhang, but enough that slowing down there makes a real difference in print quality.
**What I noticed:**
When I slice with “Slow down for overhangs” enabled and Fuzzy Skin disabled, the speed color map clearly shows the slowdown kicking in on the overhang areas — exactly as expected.
The moment I enable Fuzzy Skin, that slowdown completely disappears from the preview. The overhang areas show the same speed as the rest of the model, as if the option were turned off.
I’m attaching two screenshots comparing the speed map with and without Fuzzy Skin, plus the .3mf file so you can check if I’m missing something in my settings.
Am I configuring something wrong? Is Fuzzy Skin known to interfere with overhang speed control? Or is this something worth reporting?
