Using Studio, the model gets downloaded to your device. Using Handy, everything goes through their cloud service, the model doesn’t get downloaded to your device.
Of cos one can question if this is splitting fine hair by MW
IMO, from a creator’s POV, it should count as a download + print as the model was ‘consumed’ either way.
Indeed it was. The model is not downloaded (sent + save) it’s fetch (“only sent”) on the device. But yeah from a user perspective the end result is the same thing.
I mean no offense but from your perspective you are the most important person in your life (obviously) but from MWs perspective you are barely a blip in their pile of users (like all of us).
MW would not waste the time and money on looking for, following up on and punishing someone by tweaking their search algorithm just for not being a fan boy. There is no financial incentive in it.
So something interesting happened. After the first replies here I went ahead and put in a ticket. This morning I got a reply saying that they reviewed my account and it is now functioning properly. They then asked me to try again and wouldn’t you know it, my models are now mixed in… Magic!
That is what I am thinking. Some flag was put on my account so that it pushed all my models to the bottom of the search results. Who knows what caused that flag. Too many points or models or over use of red filament on a Thursday with Generic instead of Bambu filament???
We all know how precise the membership control bots are on Makerworld.
