Don't join "Exclusive Model"

My friend just message me today showing me that he got over 970 point in negative now as you removed his models that we both worked on for the contest… we also did put them as Exclusiv models on your website to show our contribution to your website. The models made are all made using Vectorizer software, all models are made with his girlfriend drawing them and then we vector it, after this we use Fusion360 and make all the layers different heights and extrude holes for the ornaments… So my BIG question is Whats the problem with those models ??? they are not hue forged and they are taking us quite a while to make as well its not like if it would just be a 1 button clicky thing.
Personally I really love the makerworld program, but the exclusiv program aint worth it imo. If I could take down my models and lose the points ive got on the 2 models ive posted I would but I cant so the only option I see is to leave them Private for now until you resolve this issue.

Lastly … Its more rewarding IMO to upload models to other plateforms then just having everything in 1.

The models we make takes us a lot of time … its really sad to see such models being removed that we think, specially when we aint doing hueforge as we want our models to get multiple layers … show the 3d surface and be able to print it without an ams for the users that dont have one

Hello everyone,

I would like to share a recent experience regarding my models on MakerWorld. Two of my creations were removed from the exclusive program for not meeting the established guidelines. While I understand that rules are necessary, I find it disappointing that my models, which have been downloaded more than 11,200 times and appreciated by my 600 followers, were disqualified without proper recognition of the value of my work.

Under my username, ZipZapPrint, I create models that, even if simple, fulfill a specific demand and bring satisfaction to many users. I find it unfortunate that MakerWorld does not place greater emphasis on community feedback when deciding what qualifies as “exclusive.”

I am curious to know if other creators have had similar experiences. How did you handle it? I’m also open to advice on how to ensure my future creations align with the program’s expectations.

Thank you all for your support and advice!

It does say no 2D models in exclusive.

You will not get any argument from us here, no need to shout.

The other person stated a fact, not an insult.

Models should demonstrate a high level of detail and precision in design . AI generated content, Hueforges and 2D models will be removed from the program. Coasters, signs and keychains using existing logos or signs will be removed from the program.

I had lots of quality models removed because they were coasters, keyrings and more, some were flat, some were textured, all were removed.

They appear to ban anything under a height they haven’t published.

There is no argument that will work, I tried.

There is no logic given many have significant effort in the building on them. That was true for mine.

I suspect they wrongly believe yours are a combination or hueforge and a keyring variant.

Important
BL doesn’t sell 2D printers, only 3D, I only enter 3D models, even 0.08mm thick models (I have one of these, a calibration tool) was excluded despite it being 2-colours and serves an important function.

Extra
I also had a different calibration tool removed, I appealed and MW told me it was an important model for new users, but, it isn’t exclusive worthy!

WTF

Thanks for the clarifications…
I believe we still did contribute to the makerworld tho and still tried to be different from others. I get that a lot are doing Hueforge and its easy but we shouldnt all be penalized for that as some of us do the Fusion 360 models… I wouldnt mind them asking for proofs as we can show them they were all made in fusion

I will not join the EXCLUSIVE model program anymore And will continue to join other plateforms as they are less limitations and more benefits for us users to gain bonus or sell our product on all stl groups and websites

Hello everyone,

I understand that the topic of 2D vs. 3D models can be confusing, so I’d like to clarify my point of view.

My printer operates on three axes (X, Y, Z), which means that all the models I share are indeed 3D constructions. If they were 2D, the printer would only work on two axes (X and Y), which is not the case here. The 11,200 downloads my models have received show that these creations meet the expectations of many users, and they didn’t happen by chance.

I believe that the diversity of creations is what makes our community so rich and interesting. Some prefer highly detailed or minimalist designs, while others, like me, find passion in different types of models. We all have our place here, and I firmly believe that everyone deserves to enjoy the rewards of their work.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to download and appreciate my creations. I’m always open to discussions or feedback to improve what I share and better meet the needs of the community.

Happy printing,
ZipZapPrint

Meaby you guys should also remove all the kit cards as they only have 1 depth … they all the same if not worst then what you claim is 2d imo ???

I love making coasters and keyrings, those who download them love them.

Are MW saying my work is ■■■■ or the user that prints them has ■■■■ taste?

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

They take time and effort to create, material to print.

I’ve said it before, the program is called Exclusives not Premium.

If they wanted Premium & Exclusive they should have had a second ring on the ladder.

Even the models I follow from One of my favorite makers are 2d as well or what ?? … Like whats the limit of you saying this is 2d and this is 3d ???

Try not to burn others so they feel as badly as you do.

You are rightly aggrieved, but, don’t take it out on others who in your own opinion should not be penalised either.

I dont think anyone should be penalized, We work hard for our models to become created as you stated before… I get your point tho but I feel that the rules are unclear to a lot of us as we just try to follow the flow… this is a new thing they made and we gladly joined at first but im sure a lot will see my point… whats the idea of putting models up if they will take them down but leave them to others… where is the limit of saying this is acceptable pand this is not

I wonder if they remove all the points we made with those models or just the 25% more as they were exclusiv tho ?

Just wanted to say, I love your Oreo coaster… man, it makes me hungry just looking at it again.

They remove 125%, the 100% points you would have gained had you not been in the exclusive program and the 25% points from the exclusive plane.

I suspect they believe theft is a great way to dissuade cheaters from cheating but fails to account for those who enter their 2D coasters and key rings before they added that disqualifying criteria and those who genuinely believe their work should nit be disqualified.

They should have had a window during the rollout that any issues are penalised by the extra 25% and not 125%.

I really appreciate that. A great example of a model that combines 3D obviously thin and flat and 3D textured and thick.

I also made it so you can combine parts to make a fake cookie with fillings and cookie sides.

so we lose more then what we actually gained ??

No, you lose all the points the model has earned.

Some people believe they should only take away 25% (The bonus from being an exclusive model). But then, there would be no risk involved to join the program with an “illegal model”. It’s simple game theory, they have to take more than that.

Now, while I also believe Bambu is wrong to ban original 2D content from the exclusive program, we ALL know what is meant with 2D designs, this debate is really going out of hand.

I also got models kicked out, they were all hand drawn and put together in Fusion by hand. Luckily only a few hundred points were taken away. I’m not happy about it, but we can still publish such models under the regular program and earn regular points.

Plenty of models with Christmas themes right now, non exclusive an and still very popular. It’s not like they banned it.

2D art exists primarily on a flat, two-dimensional plane, while 3D art occupies 3D space with a measurable height, width, and depth.

It’s pretty clear these 3,4.5,7 layers on single plane are 2D design. Its like saying art is 3D because paint has a thickness. Lets not waste makerworld’s time on this.

2D models are allowed in the exclusive program.

The models have to meet certain criteria as outlined in this post from Oct 17th

After reading this post and having my own 2D model Fridge Ninjas Vol. 2 by Dr Operator - MakerWorld entered into the program already, I messaged the Makerworld account with these photos and my case for why my model should stay.

"Hi, I just read your forum post about making a case for your 2D designs to be included in the exclusive program.

I believe my design Fridge Ninjas Vol.2 (Fridge Ninjas Vol. 2 by Dr Operator - MakerWorld) should stay as each one was hand drawn by me using the CAD program Shapr3D and each one is actually made up of dozens of parts. As you can see in the pictures, the parts are designed specifically to allow the black base to show through certain parts of the white in order to create the grey shadowing. There was considerable effort in creating these, but if they don’t meet the criteria for the exclusive program, I understand."

I received a response shortly after informing me that my model will be allowed to stay.

Anyone who feels their 2D model meets the criteria, but have been unfairly removed should reach out to support with their reasoning for reinstatement.
