Bambu P2S issue;
(1) I pulled file upon file off the Maker’s site, choosing my printer before doing so.
(2) I open the file in Bambu Studio.
(3) I select my printer, again, and make sure my build plate is showing.
(4) I hit slice.
(5) I save as the original file name.
(6) I load the flash drive with the file into the printer.
(7) I call up the file, and the printer reports “The printer model doesn’t match; please re-slice.”
(8) The printer printed out the vase and other files that were loaded on the unit with no muss, no fuss.
(9) The printer is not connected to WIFI or the Net. It’s in my unattached shop, out of range of my home router.
Sadly, it was a 1,000 times easier to download, slice and print files for the disposable printer I bought to get my feet wet in 3-D printing.
Any ideas?
Double check that you are slicing with the latest version of Bambu Studio with P2S selected.
You’re saving as a .gcode.3MF file extension correct?
NOPE, they all show up as just “.3MF” extensions.
I saw a few files with the gcode and the two periods and wondered. Never have I ever seen a program play well with two periods.

Since the Bambu Studio just wants to save them as 3MF’s, do I need to alter the file, as I save it?

AND, since I’m working directly off Bambu’s Studio web site, the safe money is on, it is the latest.
Just added the ".gcode. to a 3MF file in hopes. . . . The printer doesn’t even see the file on the USB.

No you need to slice the file correctly. Just “saving” the .3mf file isn’t slicing the file. The printer won’t recognize this. You need to slice and export the file from Bambu Studio. Ie “Export sliced plate file” in the image below. This will give you a .gcode.3mf file to load onto the usb and which the printer can read.
This process is fully explained in the Wiki below under the"Export Plate" heading
To be clear, I select slice, which I do, but I need to export, rather than just save or save as?

Save or Save As does NOT save the gcode of the project AFTER slicing. It only saves the ‘project’ 3MF file. Does not contain the SLICED version of this. Prevents you from uploading these 3MF files from Makerworld and just copying to the printer with the wrong info for the printer…
So it would appear.
The WIKI stuff takes a lot of sorting to get to the meat of the operating matter. And much of the information is about other than the P2S.
I sifted through a lot of cell phone and Net stuff that does not pertain to my setup to get to where I needed to be. After the fact, your suggestions helped a great deal.
