Indeed you did.
they took down all but one printer profile… i had profiles from .8 all the way to.20 taken down and pointed, even though they are not in a contest. im pissed.
did you have photos of the prints with all those different settings, if you don’t have a photo of the print, the profile is not valid
also, having a bunch of profiles for all different layer heights is strange, why don’t you just post the most optimal one?
to the first question yes they all had “real” pictures. to the second question. thank you. im newish and it never occurred to me that people might not want multiple options for printing.
lol why is the real under quotes? You have to tick the box that the profile passed the print test and add a photo of the print, you need real pictures for that (without the quotes :D)
i see your confusion. its alright if you don’t get it. not everyone understands nuance. ill explain the reason for the quotations. this topic has challenged my notions of what is real and what is fake. so “real” is a relative term and is exaggerated in this case by “quotations”. the nuance is the unspoken insinuation that real is indeed not real or not real is real. thanks for your help with the newb stuff but im good on that.
lol if you say so there are so many profiles that add renders or just a plate image of the slicer that to me it sounded like that was your “real”
This dude called ME snarky…
The opposite is probably the case, i.e. that people want and should have it easy to print something out. The problem often arises in connection with the app. Some users want a print profile to be tailored to their needs directly from the app so that they can print it directly there. Let’s take different sizes of an object that make sense. What does the user do in the app if he finds a pot there but it is not the right size? They should be able to change the scaling in the app on their smartphone in order to print it. So you do what is logical: you add a new print profile with an already scaled model. This has been done and will probably be done very often. Is it still compliant with the current rules?
and another one added.
He has a unique talent for making people appreciate silence.
oh lol yeah i actually have a job to go to and a kid to take care of but sure lets shame the guy thats trying to solve some problems… not a good look my dude.
thanks for not ridiculing me. its refreshing for someone that can actually look past someone who is as inept as i am currently. i will keep all of what you typed in mind for any next model i might put out. its been my fault this whole time i guess. time i accept it and move on from the other people being toxic. thanks for your time and answer/opinion.
I have 3 kids. I can take a picture. To make sure I have time I do little.
Second, you need to find something other than a potato to take pics. You’re not doing yourself any favors. Really, that’s real advice.
Slow down. You’re not going to get a lot of points. Sooner you accept that the less stress you’ll have. I don’t think anyone really wants to insult you, they just are pointing out the clear deficits.
i have… but if people are not going to stop giving me @#$^ for an honest question to bring things to reality then i have no time for anyones snide attitude. we are all human. so be human.
i don’t have the money for a nicer camera… everyone can see the model. i shouldn’t have to go out and buy a new camera just to appease people who can’t see what it is. there needs to be some sort of curve for that. i am always striving to get to the top of my game and in some cases that equates to numbers. right now they took these numbers away for nothing more than a non 1080 or 4k camera. dammit the economic market where i am at is not good so i don’t have a “great job” maybe you have a wife or live in gf but damn cut me a little slack… i have my son and bills and a nowhere job. im doing what i can but this is ridiculous. not even a, " hey change your stuff or we will pull it." a warning would have been nice. listen man. im just in a bad spot and a bad place in a bad time. i just needed a little direction but everyone got snarky and rude. its not just you. im sure your a good dude. sorry if i took things out on you.
could have been less of a troll but meh. 3 out of 5 stars.
OK, this is a no no. Maybe they piled on a bit too much but this is spamming profiles to get points. Users can adjust your profile to the nozzle size they are using. You simply need to upload an optimal nozzle size profile. Same model with different colors as profiles is also frowned on.
This didn’t help you at all. I almost muted you over this. You do have pics, but my dude, they look like they were taken through coke bottle lenses by a drunk dude. Do the best you can with what you have, but take your time.
In the future, don’t fire off so quick when people are trying to help you. It’s off putting.
See above. This was really unnecessary. I get you are/were fustrated but look at this like someone else. Would you want to help someone who acts like this?
No, you don’t. Try just standing still, or holding the camera you have still and letting it focus. Pick white or something white as your background, it will help with the light you do have. There are photo boxes you can download and print that will make your pics look a lot better.
No one is faulting you for not having a spectacular camera, but you have to try. I’m going to be honest, your posts come of as half-assed like you don’t care and don’t have time. That isn’t true now, is it?
So, print your model. Stage it a little better and take the best pic you can. You’re “selling” your model, sorta. You have to make it appealing for others to want to download it. In a way you’re then selling yourself here. People here are pretty accepting, but they (myself included) aren’t going to be interested in helping a hothead that spouts off.
Now all that is friendly advice, I’m not trying to kick you while your down. Put on your big boy pants and take advantage of it and do a little better.
We are here to help.
did put on the big boy pants… and working on things… but im being punished for nothing… you can see what the models are. i provided both a web pic and a print pic… in no precise order as there are none. also there is no requirements for the resolution of the picture taken, there just needs to be proof of print. thats all. otherwise point it out cause i can’t find it. as far as time… you don’t know me or my scheduled… you know nothing but your own truth. keep that tucked in your back pocket and maybe you will have a better time being a parent. you can criticize me but don’t think for a second im not going to hand that salad back to you. maybe your not a good dude after all.
I’m going to say from my own experience, that MW will sometimes give an ultimatum with a deadline. Case in point, I have 9 AMS desiccant box model postings, each with 2-8 print profiles, so around 30 - and only one out of each of them had real photos for the profiles (different hygrometer positions available) I received a warning that if I didn’t post pics in 3 days they’d be taken down and points deducted, and that if I needed more time I should set them as private until I can print and photograph them. But earlier this year when I was new, I got a straight up take-down. This isn’t the first time I’ve been given a little leeway and grace, and I’m appreciative, and I can also see how some will see that as unfair. Full disclosure, my ams boxes are the only ‘Featured’ ones, and are a creator program kit for the round hygrometers. if they took them down, the link to the model in the hygrometer kit would go dead, so that likely has something to do with it. Just wanted to provide some perspective - I suppose I’m a privelaged elite now, all bow down, for I am makerworld king god, lol jk jk I still get pinched bigtime here and there for breaking a rule so I’m absolutely not immune.
Are you serious?
I try to help you and you come back at me like that? Dude, I take it back, I think you have gotten exactly what you deserve.
