They do not accept Gift Cards!
I tracked down the missing package DPD lost in transit and said I had picked it up.
Now bear with me, this gets complicated.
I was sent an email with a barcode and a tracking number telling me I had two parcels to collect.
The app had a barcode with the identical tracking number telling me there were three parcels to collect, as shown in the earlier post.
Identical tracking numbers, that is important.
I had my friend try to pick up the packages on Friday I sent him a screenshot of the barcode from the app.
They told him there was only one to pick up.
I called DPD and they told me the tracking number from the scanned package had been picked up and someone had picked up the other package, just not me (or anyone I sent).
The collected tracking number in the app stayed in the app and suggested no one had picked it up.
I woke this morning to DPD saying I still had another package to collect.
Today I noticed that the two barcode were different, look yourself, partial provided in case BL think I am sharing identifiable information again!
Email
App
Remember, everything else is identical about the tracking ID.
I asked my friend to try again using the one from the email.
Sure, enough, it was still there and was there on Friday.
So, DPD sent one mail with one tracking number. The app had one entry with one tracking number. The tracking numbers were identical. DPD said both packages had been collected.
Yet, there were two packages with different tracking numbers, yet they duplicated one of them twice and gave me entirely incorrect information.
That leaves the printer I am donating to a school still missing, it has not left their depot and they refuse to look for it until BL ask them to, despite them knowing it is missing and they lost it!
Summary
I have now received 3 of the 4 packages. One through luck through no assistance and lies from DPD, one rerouted to a pick up place without my consent and the final one missing
- Royal Mail delivered it successfully
- DPD (1 of 3) rerouted without my permission, but picked up.
- DPD (2 of 3) rerouted without my permission, no tracking information, incorrect information about it having been picked up last week, picked up today.
- DPD (3 of 3) rerouted without my permission, never left the depot after the depot placed a hold on it.
I have been waiting since I took the plunge on November 27th and ordered an X1-C combi and added a 6 x 1KG starter pack of filament plus the anti vibration feet.
BL decided to send this order out as three separate packages, two of which were assigned to DPD and one to DHL. All from their EU store and dispatched from Germany to Ireland.
The very next day DPD sent me a message to inform me that there was an issue with my postcode. I phoned my local DPD centre and they didn’t recognise the tracking numbers. I then phoned their HQ in Dublin and they told me that those number were generated by DPD Germany and until they packages physically arrived in Ireland I wouldn’t be really able to track my delivery.
I did receive the printer and enclosed AMS but not the filament or feet.
No updates. No info. Nothing. Disappointing to say the least.
We need to be able to choose the delivery company at the checkout.
There is a reason BBL use gift cards.
BBL benefits from deferred revenue, allowing them to hold onto the cash value of the gift card until it’s redeemed, even if they don’t deliver specific goods immediately.
If the goods aren’t delivered but the gift card remains valid, then BBL avoids issuing a refund, preserving their cash flow.
It helps BBL if they choose different delivery companies and items get lost. The only folk they need to employ in customer services are a few whose specific job is to not help the customer. (Maybe one or two who do help, so as to not make it appear so obvious). There is no financial reason for BBL to help you, that I can see.
They will not be concerned with a few folk who have problems, certaily not complaining on this forum. Maybe try and get a wider audience. There are a few other manufacturers making printers of similar specification these days (although their support may be worse), so no need to bother with BBL. It often pays to ‘cut your losses’.
I have had good quality service from DPD uk…
I have paid a little bit more to get a DPD delivery…
I must be lucky with them…now do not get me started with Royal mail…
This would be true if they offered a way to buy the giftcards, however currently giftcards can only be redeemed for points that have to be earned, so that’s additional 2 layers of blocking access to giftcards
I agree, Although I’ve had deliveries from DPD on time and I think it’s because I always add instructions for the delivery driver to knock very loudly on the door.
If you instruct for them to knock, it’s amazing how they don’t miss you, we all know the text that they send saying “Sorry we missed you” while you’ve been waiting all day.
I pay via PayPal, it’s amazing how companies are quick to resolve issues when you use PayPal and not only that if the item goes undelivered, just flag PayPal who will deal with it and will refund you your money after the qualifying delivery window is past.
Just the other day I ordered from BB the high tuck plate and some filament, I got notification that they’d deliver yesterday which fell within the 48Hr window that BB have used with Royal Mail. There’s a disclaimer from RM that it Aims to deliver but not Guaranteed, I’m skeptical the items are at my local depo at all based on previous experience.
I am disabled and have enabled their “give more time” option. It is rarely honoured.
I have asked them to press my ring doorbell, they often don’t. The ring doorbell announces anyone at the door in every room in my house.
It also captures them not attending, as does the two security cameras on the front of the house.
What they can’t capture is them never turning up because they stole the item or when they never even set out as they lost a printer in the depot!
Yesterday, they never rang the doorbell, knocked the door or gave me time to get to the door. They dropped the package off right outside my house which could be seen by anyone looking down the path or as often happens, following the van. I was tracking them and received a push notification that the ring doorbell saw movement, so I could retrieve the package. The driver was already driving off.
It has been two weeks since DOD lost my printer in their depot, I have not heard anything from BL since I created the ticket 10 days ago,
This printer was to be donated before the school broke up for Christmas.
Sorry to hear this, all I can say is I stopped having these kind of issues by buying through PayPal, I’ve spent thousands all over the world. I paid for my X1C through PayPal.
If you flag an item paid through PayPal as not having been delivered, PayPal will pursue the matter to conclusion or your money back…
It has now been 3 weeks since the ticket, 4 weeks since I ordered the printer, 1 week since Webchat escalated the ticket.
Still no response from them at all.
I am trying to get Webchat to respond to anything.
I was 24th in the queue before it told me it was busy and required a browser refresh.
I have to wait up until the early hours even to contact them as they only work China time.
After 30 minutes of waiting the service went offline, and I only made it to queue position 15.
Please contact during working hours
It is their working hours right now.
@MakerWorld you said the Webchat works and we should contact it during working hours, yet, when we do contact it during working hours, they stop working!!!
I persisted and finally got through.
It took an hour and a half to tell me “Yeah, we have done nothing, we lied about escalating, but, we promise to do that now though.”
I have been told someone will get back to me within 24 hours.
Not to fix the problem, not to ship a printer because the last one never made it, and to tell me they would talk to their logistics department who would then speak to their delivery company and ask them where the printer was.
This ignores the fact the delivery company (DPD) knows where it is, they lost it in the depot.
I imagine they will ask for 8 more working days (that is what they said last time).
This was due to be donated before Christmas. It is the third printer I have donated, the first time Bambu Lab have made me look like a fool in the process though.
They seem entirely happy with the levels of incompetence they continue to bestow upon people.
Create a ticket they say, contact Webchat they say, we will have everything resolved before Christmas day they say, all lies.
They asked for feedback for their service, I gave great feedback with 1-star.
They system crashed and no feedback was sent, who would have thought that would happen!
Support has finally responded, with more delaying tactics.
They want me to fill in a declaration to DPD, yet they didn’t bother to attach one.
If this is the same DPD declaration as last time, it asks me about the delivery, given it never made it to my house and DPD know it is lost in their own depot, what can I possibly declare?
Hope you get it sorted soon mate.
OFFS… this just gets worse and worse! I’m now worried if it suddenly does somehow “get found” it will be very shaken, not stirred! I would think the declaration for the delivery would be very simple… “Delivery? What delivery? You lost it, you figure it out… it’s not my job to do your job for you!” I hope you get this resolved soon!
I’m just thankful that the courier that Bambu use here in Australia (TeamGE, used to be Toll) has been consistent and orders have consistenly arrived 6 days after placing the order… although I have a long driveway in a residential area… and the last two shipments have been left at the entrance of the driveway … so there is that.
@MalcTheOracle, If you paid by Credit Card, contact your credit card provider talk to them…
I appreciate that, I am aware and have advised many here on the same subject, debit cards have the same features in the U.K.
Unfortunately, I used gift cards redeemed from my model rewards.
I say unfortunately as I believe purchases made with them have the side-effect of BL deprioritising any appalling support even further as they possibly believe they don’t have to deal with protective organisations so they can treat the customer dismissively.
I have no idea when this will end.
They have me filling out a form with a written signature which I can’t do because of my disabilities to state the package which both DPD & BL know is in the DPD depot wasn’t delivered to me.
They simply have no clue what they are doing and wasted weeks of time.
For a nation obsessed with being seen as the best, you would think someone would do the bare minimum.
I just went to fill in the DPD declaration form they are pointlessly demanding.
It is all in German.
At this point simple and constant ineptitude can’t be the only reason for the delays, it has to be targeted to me or delaying tactics.
