My classroom has an A1 Mini, and we also have a Dremel 3D45. I am looking for an attachment that will allow me to use the Dremel filament (which we have a lot of) with the A1 Mini.
I had something that did not work well; the picture is below, and it broke. I can not find this file.
Does anyone know of anything I could use? Any ideas?
I am not that familiar with Dremel filament. I’ve seen it on grainger, but at 40 dollars a Kg, I will never consider buy it.
Doesn’t it have an obnoxiously small hole in the middle?
I think it might be better to use a filament roller instead of trying to find an adapter to put it on the spool holder.

It is a small hole. I am not a fan of Dremel, but we have a lot of the filament so tiring to find a solution. We have tried to re-spool it, but not a huge fan. I am hoping someone will have some other ideas, or even know where this STL file of the one above so I can modify it. .

Although you most likely do not need to modify it. The spool will just ride on the rim instead of the inside.
Have not used the filament. Not sure if you have the cardboard spool version but if you have an empty bambu spool you can see if the following might work.
I have used it for Oveture (which are slightly over size core but still work for me). It all depends on the Dremel core size (if cardboard).

I think the idea of drilling out the center would work great, but they also still have the dremel printer, so they wouldn’t be able to use the spool with that printer again if they did that.
It didn’t sink in that they still had the printer so yeah, destructive methods for either the cardboard or plastic spools are probably out. And I guess if they are trying to do multi color prints the external spool holder types are probably out also.
I dont think they are trying to do multicolor. I googled the Dremel printer earlier and it does not have multicolor capabilities.
Actually no, that original holder that they linked was for the AMS lite.
Still if they went with a roller they could feed the filament into the AMS lite and still have it work.
Yeah, I was thinking of multi on the AMS Lite. This one might work,(posted above also) but they would probably need to make the threaded “axle” longer since it seems to be for 250G spools.
