I dried a spool of PLA in the AMS unit.I have more PLA filament on the way. Can I dry the new spools with the one I have already dried or should it be removed before drying the new spools. Thanks
Regular PLA, I don’t dry at all. I did a few times but never saw any difference. PETG is an entirely different story and I always dry new spools before use.
I heard, that PLA can be overdried, e.g. drying it too often will render it more brittle. As I don’t dry PLA, I can’t provide first hand experience, but I would better remove the already dried spool when drying others. Better be safe than sorry.
