Drying pla as PETG, need just wait or cool it?
Let it cool naturally, either it still prints or it doesn’t. If it was hot enough to deform to the point where it won’t feed anymore, it may be hooped.
If it’s not looking good, it may still be OK deeper into the roll, so all may not be lost.

Use calipers and measure the diameter in 10cm increments for at least 5 revolutions of the spool. If the diameter is pretty consistent, you can probably print with it. But if the diameter varies greatly of the filament have become oval, I would throw the spool away. Could risk a jam in the extruder, filament buffer or other similar issues.
