Hi all!

Yes, you can. You can use any PLA on AMS Lite. The “Silk Dual Color” is simply a very nice looking color filament that achieves the dual colour effect on single filament, so the effect will work regardless whether it’s used from AMS Lite or straight from the roll.
Thank you so much - I really appreciate your help!
@Johnny_Bit what system presets would we need to use to make this work on the Bambu Studio App?
Thank you!
If you get the filament on the AMS Lite, the filament itself has a RFID chip on it that gets recognized by AMS Lite and then device. In the slicer then you can click on “Synchronize filament list from AMS” and it’ll get it with all the correct filament settings.

Unfortunately that is not quite true.
The Bambu Silk Dual-Colour can sometimes have issues with the AMS lite, especially the colour (Neon City) in the link posted by OP.
It’s well documented on these forums, reddit and facebook groups. Even Bambu Lab support acknowledged there’s an issue with it and sent me a replacement spool (of a different colour) as the dual-colour oval shape seems to be out of tolerance meaning the AMS lite has a hard time loading it.
That said, I have had better luck loading it via the external spool and only with a 0.6mm nozzle (as it also has clogging issues), but even then the failure rate is still about 50%.
Edit:
I’m sure there used to be a note on the Bambu Store about being AMS compatible, but not AMS Lite compatible, but not seeing it now so it’s possible they may have addressed the issue.
Just a quick update - the printer combo has arrived and we’ve just used the dual color filament with no issues
If this filament is not even round shaped, does it not violate the tolerance declaration? Sounds more like a bad batch, than an general problem with 2 color material.
When printing with PLA Silk Dual Color filament, there is a small chance of filament rotation, potentially causing uneven color transitions. The A-series printers have a higher risk due to their special structure, so use of this filament with A-series printers is not recommended.
as it appears some still cant find it

It’s oval shaped by design. The shape helps to align and keep the filament in the same orientation so the 2 colours are always facing the same directions, e.g to the back and front of the nozzle. If the filament was perfectly round it would twist and rotate when printing so you would get random colour changes from layer to layer rather than the desired effect where one side of the model is one colour with a transition to the other colour as you rotate the model.
So it is a particular issue with dual colour filament, although could just be a bad batch where the oval shape is not quite right.
