Edit Model Name as it appears in Model Information in the Project menu

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry, that should probably do it, but it doesn’t. In the Mac version you’ll see an item in the Project menu (between Device and Calibration), which is unpopulated unless you open a model from an application such as Fusion, which provides that information. I think the problem is related to the fact that Bambu Studio for Mac has a characteristic that flies in the face of tradition for Mac document based apps, which is that if you close the app’s last window, the app quits. That has always been the default behavior in Windows (AFAIK), but not for Mac. So for an old (literally) Mac user such as myself, there’s a tendency to open an existing document that has typical settings, then make necessary changes. My suspicion is that there is no way to change that information in the interface, so hacking (although quite mild, probably) may be useful.

Because I rarely use files from a modeler that provides this information, I suspect that this issue will need to be submitted as a wish list item. It’s not a major issue, the Bambu Studio app still provides a huge number of features considering that it is provided free of charge. I’ve been trying Shapr3D lately, and because it’s relatively new, I wouldn’t be surprise to see a request to implement the feature for exported files gain quick attention. Thanks again.
