Is it 24v for the solenoid pins?
It switches with 5V already. So I would assume 24V is way to high.
I’m also curious, I thought it would have only two pins. @T_guttata did you get any wiser?
I’m toying with the idea of putting two of those in my Sunlu S4 so it vents while heating and automagically shuts tight when not. I love the S4 but I think that functionality would improve it.
No, unfortunately my knowledge is still the same.
With 2 pins you can switch, but you need a circuit to reverse current flow.
Still I would be curious what the other pins are used for.
Are you sure you can’t reverse it by using another pin instead of reversing current? That would make sense (numbers here are just example):
Perhaps one or two of them are closed loop feedback, so the AMS (or printer) can get a confirmation the solenoid opened/closed fully and throw an error if not. Bambu stuff are chock full of sensors. So,
I’ll (eventually) try to measure what’s happening as it’s operating in an AMS2, will report any findings here.
