ELEGOO Rapid PETG Settings Help on P1S

I am using Olias’s ELEGOO Rapid PETG settings in Elegoo PETG Rapid Suggestions? - #3 by Olias, testing with printing a bench. I am using the makerworld one that is optimized for PETG, but i am encountering issues with the layers lifting upwards at the seam and in front of the the benchy. it looks like the overhang is also drooping down.

What settings should I try to adjust to fix this? Looks like when i print with the Generic PETG settings the benchy looks fine, but I want to make use of this “Rapid” printing speed - printing the benchy takes 40+ minutes with the generic profile, but with the optimized settings its shockingly cut in half but with these issues. I also calibrated the flow ratio to use 0.945. Filament has been dried for 6 hrs at 65C. Let me know what other information I can post here.

Thank you in advance

Have you tried just printing with Bambu PETG HF settings? I think that should work fine.

Only problems I had with Elegoo Rapid PETG are some gaps close to the seam. I tried a few different HF PETG brands with Obxidian nozzle at 35mm³/s. My rating regarding print quality was:

  1. Bambu PETG HF
  2. Sunlu HS PETG matte
  3. IEMAI HS PETG+
  4. Elegoo Rapid PETG

I have tuned flow and PA for all of them.

As Sunlu costs the same as Elegoo and I prefer the matte surface anyway, I didn’t bother to look into tweaking it more. I think reducing accelerations helped so I used it up and switched to the other brands.

Sounds like you have curling at the bow.

Usual counteractions:

  • Use dry (!!!) Filament (dry again in case of doubt)
  • Use a brim
  • Lower layer height (adaptive layer height helps a lot for overhang curling)
  • Reduce speed/accelerations
