So when is this going to be reñeqsed. End of the year is imminent and printing pla or petg is a niggtmare wotj this macjine as it stinks up tbe room.
I print PLA/PetG and TPU and I am quite sensitive to fumes coming out of the printer. I have so far performed the following with very positive results.

External filter attached to the fan exhaust. I used K Y Z design’s external filter which accepts 2x Levoit Hepa filters. I think this is the best option as increased surface area has several positive effects (less resistance - slower air flow - better filtration)

I put a simple paper filter to the top vent. I used Vipan’s design and filled it with a thin paper filter. (I couldn’t find a steam activated active carbon mat)

I filled the empty slot above the stock hepa filter , with maxim3d’s carbon pallet box. However I’ve modified it a bit. First I put a paper air filter in the front to protect the carbon pallets and extend their life. Then I printed a tpu seal around the box for better fit into the slot. Don’t forget to use steam activated carbon.

I am now using an enclosed poop holder. There are a few nice designs.
I also have an external hi performance Hepa filter but it certainly wasn’t helping a lot. Above items fixed the issue almost 95%
Now I will add aux fan conversion. It’s not going to be very efficient for cold filaments but should still help a lot.
Is this available now? Was it in last update?

I need to do something like this but perhaps more venting to the outside than filtering.
I had noticed that the poop shoot was basically an open vent so having an enclosed poop catcher sounds like a plan, I’ll look for designs. And that top vent idea of a thin paper filter could prevent fumes escaping there.
My big issues going to be where to suck (hopefully) small amounts of air out to vent it outside when printing filaments that needs a heated chamber. For PLA etc this is easy, the back vents open and would push the air outside. But for ABS the vents are all closed. Ideally I’d like to open the vents at the back but leave the one on top closed, with poop shoot enclosed this should means just a small flow of air would create enough negative pressure inside to stop fume leaking into the workshop.
All untested yet, just researching, there may be other big holes in the enclosure that I’ve not seen.

Latest firmware update allows you to set this up on the printer, but you could set it up in the printer profile before this.
How? Do I just enable “Filter” on the cooling menu? Do I have to do that manually for every print?
How should I do it on the printer profile?

I don’t see this. Do you mean the option to filter at the end? That seems unrelated to filtering during PLA prints.
