I am pretty sure this has been asked a few times, but since systems evolve and technology improves, I will try again.
Since this seems to be a slicer setting only allowing one or the other on at one time, either the External spool or the AMS, I feel it should and could be allowed either with an additional custom M600 gcode where the printer will pause for user interaction to verify someone is standing at the printer, or with an “Enable Ext spool and AMS” option where the user should understand and agree to what is needed. For starters, this could be implemented where the External spool must be used as the first or last filament. That way you can either get the swap out of the way at the beginning of the print or return at the end. Apparently it can be done in Orca so why not BS…
