Engine model kit 5 print issue

I’ve been going mad trying to print plate 3 - the outer fins of the cylinder head. First I had issues with the first layers of the fins. The initial layer stuck fine but the second or third layer would lift the first. I realized each fin is just two lines with no infill. Bed temp 60-65, filament (Bambu matte black) 215-220. No amount of soap/water, slow speed or anything else seemed to help until I printed an outer brim.

Second issue - when getting to the part where the left and right half join at the support one side or the other snaps at the thinnest/weakest point several layers down. Pic attached will show it better then words can describe

The other side that survived - at that thin point it seems as if layer bonding is weak. I can break it apart with only light-moderate force. The combination of overhang and thin-ness doesn’t make for a strong part. Which is ok as it’s only an aesthetic piece

I don’t know if it’s some thermal expansion issue when joining the support causes it to break away or it moves enough to snag at the nozzle.

Maybe try tree supports or paint a manual support under that point? If something like that was necessary though I imagine it would be baked into the project file or in the instructions.

Here’s a picture looking at the broken part for more context

Going mad with this trying to get it right. Must have spent a few hundred grams of filament already. Above is an example in petg. I wasn’t watching this one as it broke but judging by how the print completed cleanly it looks like it cracked long after that part of the model was done .

I tried adding support under the thin area. I’ve tried changing temps. I tried ironing the thin layers to get a bit more squish. I don’t know what else to do. I guess it wouldn’t be a big deal if not was some random model but this is one of Bambu’s demos. I tried a ticket but they just want me to print a demo cube to evaluate.

Have you found a solution to the problem?

I went back and forth on a support ticket with Bambu. I dug up the emails. The last thing they asked me to try is using archane walls instead of classic and rotate the piece 90deg on the bed. I know I rotated 90deg. Can’t remember if I used arcane or not because I know it failed previously but turning it 90deg seemed to work. No idea why… maybe movement in one direction isn’t as precise as the other.
