Error when trying to print TPU onto PETG

I have designed a print, that starts with PETG and then has a seal on top of TPU.
PETG is in slot 4 of my AMS and TPU is external, the model slices ok, but the print button is not highlighted and will not let me select it. There is a warning saying " please do not mix-use the EXT with AMS ". The model is split into two parts, so I would have thought it would have printed the first part in PETG then stopped and let me load the TPU from the external and then finished the print. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry to say that you can’t just mix the AMS and an external spool like that on the same print. That feature is available on the new H2D as you can have the external spool hooked up to it’s own nozzle, but other than that it won’t let you swap like that mid-print. Unfortunate for TPU and other non-ams filaments when you need to combine them

Thank you for the information. I did not even consider this would not be an option. To add a TPU gasket seal to another part seemed to be an obvious requirement, I just assumed it was me doing something wrong. Hopefully this will change as times goes on.
