Gents bringing this to forum as im kinda stuck a little. So some of you may have seen i had issues with Eryone filament i posted on the facebook page with it either printing thin air (P1S) or bad adhesion Between layers. Eryone did contact me and said dry it ( i had done already but hey ho did it again) Last year i must have done 400 rolls of their Candy/Sunset etc rainbows without a hitch. I then had to change vendor due to availability of the stuff, then we managed to get 40 rolls. Thus far 5 of the rolls have exhibited the same issue. We have tried them on differing P1S and X1C and also A1 and it all seems to be very touch and go as to if itll complete a print. I can check on them 4 hours and alls fine, then go back 4 hours later and for the last 2 hours its printing in the air. Ive dried them mulitple times to 20% Humidity in a Sunlu S4 at 50 degrees. ive tried printing my normal way Generic PLA Aux fan off at 220, i then tried Bambu basic setting at 230… But still bad. Now in the 10 years of 3d printing i have maybe 1 diff roll but i now have 5 of this rainbow differing rainbow shades so it not consistent to Candy colour…
The biggest thing i see is when i unload the filament i can see where the extruder has ground away at it. i thought maybe a duff extruder gear, so cleaned them. But as you pass the roll around the 13 printer we have the issues follow…Im starting to think recipe change but anybody any input of what to try next. I even printed on .16 HQ as this slows it all down but no still same…
it is recommended to read the article and ensure that you keep the front door open / top cover open when using this filament.
Silk filament can be more prone to heat creep, as it can soften quicker when the environmental temperature is higher.
It is also recommended to use the Generic PLA Silk profile for this with 220-225C for the nozzle temperature. Silk filament usually prints hotter, and can benefit from a lower volumetric speed to ensure better adhesion
Just an update tried with a 0.6 nozzle still the same, it seems as though the extruder is grinding through it. I may have to slacken the spring somewhat so that its not as tough on the filament, its a shame though because across 13 printers its the same, meaning i now have to adapt at least a few to cater for these rolls… Everything else is fine…
same here, only happens with eryone silk rainbow, and maybe its a coincidence, but it seems to me it always happens when its printing the yellow/gold color portion of the filament.
unfortunately im gonna have stop buying these because of this, so tired of it.
have not had any problems with the basic colors from eryone
im having exactly the same issue with this filament in the A1 with AMS.
i noticed the film was dragged at the point where it would be in the extruder, done the same and checked and given it a clean,
i suspect it looks like small bubble inclusions at the point of the tare but also the filament is very under size from spec
i measured a meter of filament with a micrometer every 10cm ant it varied from
1.60-1.72mm whete it should be 1.75mm _+or - .03 tolerence. being 0.15-0.03mm undersize is more likely the issue.
i am going to contact ERYONE and see what they say.
the rest of the filament i received seems to be better spec and working fine once calibrated for Flow & PA.
