Estimated Filament Changes Nonsensically?

Hello - very strange behavior that I can’t figure out. I am trying to make two objects of equal weight for a spinning object. See screenshots. The projected filament used is varying unexpectedly. The red cross suddenly goes way up and the green star goes down after I ADD another shape?? Any guidance on what is happening?

Put simply… time and weight estimates are sketchy at best, this forum is replete with posts on that topic. In fact, last night I used a 0.2 nozzle on a model I printed multiple times. I made one small change to add one more wall depth and it recalculated and added 8 hours onto a 6 hour print making the total time 14 hours. However, when I went to print, the 14 hour estimate when back down to 8 hours of actual print time. Similarly the estimated weight was completely off.

In my experience, it seems that the only estimates that are remotely close are with the standard 0.4mm nozzle and even those cannot be trusted.

In addition to what olias mentioned, the estimator is at it’s absolute worst when it needs to factor in filament changes. You may get better results when you dont slice both like that. Seperate plates or print by-object so there is only (1) filament change instead of (12)
