ETA on the camera working reliably?

I have a P1S, and the camera rarely works. I have to power cycle the P1S (since there is no way to reboot the machine softly!) to get it to work, then it works for a short while and then fails.

Bamboo Studio/Mac gets stuck on Loading and never gets anywhere.

Handy/iPhone just shows black and maybe eventually an error.

I don’t like having to do a hard power cycle regularly.

I have the latest Bamboo Studio, which may have fixed other issues with the camera, but not this.

Check to see how the quality of the video’s are on the SD card in the printer.If the video’s are fine on the sd card it may be that your problem is in the printer transmitting the video.

I had a problem that had the same symptoms you describe and it was a transmission problem. I bought an external USB Wi-Fi with an antenna and that seems to have solved my problem.

I also bought a spare wifi antenna from BL to see what it looked like along with some better antennas off of Amazon which I will I replace the exceptionally low-end stock antenna with one of the one I bought at some point

The videos on the card are fine.

The WiFi should be fine (the printer has no issues using the same wifi).

Plus the fact that it works after a reboot for a while would seem to indicate its not a WiFi. But I do have another WiFi network, so perhaps I could switch it over. Doesn’t seem the likely cause tho.

Just passing along what worked for me.
My point is that if the video’s are fine, the camera is fine.
Camera plugs into the AP board which is also the wifi board.
The camera is not connecting to Studio or Handy. The printer is.

The WiFi looks fine - it’s a few meters away from a Deco so it should have a nice strong WiFi signal. There is no firewall issues, its all on the same LAN, everything is at the latest version.

I restarted the P1S and the camera works fine on both Studio/Mac, and Handy/iPhone. I imagine it will continue working for a while and then stop working.

I don’t know what else to try to ensure it continues to connect.

It is good it is working but just be mindful that the camera is not doing the connecting between the printer and your network.
The camera in a P1S is a low frame rate low cost camera.
The broadcasting of the image is done on the AP board.
