I recently upgraded my P1S combo to hardened steel to print ABS-GF (nozzle+gear) and did a full calibration including manual flow for PETG HF which I currently have in AMS. I also have a PLA spool at AMS4 position (bambu make) which I used today to print a business card holder (have not calibrated flow for PLA, using default values). The print is perfect except a spot shown in the photos. Why do you think this happened?
It may be just a case of bad luck. On some of your photos I see some black dots which have nothing to do here unless a blob detached from the nozzle or a remain of purged filament dropped on your model and layers printed over it. I can’t see why a normal operation would do this as everything else is perfect. You can check the video of the print (full video not just timelapse) to understand it or if you’re ready to reprint, physically remove the top layers to see what’s below.
agree, bad luck of a blob forming on the nozzle and getting shoved around on that top layer.
I’ve found that “reduce infill retraction” turned OFF (default on in bambu lab profiles) and avoid crossing walls ON (default off) helps reduce those greebles from forming but that may just be black magic
