Exception Report or listing on changed settings

Bambu Studio has a great deal of settings that you can modify, change and update. Keeping track of them is challenging. Is there a way to either get a listing or a report of those settings changed from default? I know you can save them in a user profile, but I didn’t know if there was another way to keep a record of changes made for a specific print. I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions you may offer.

Hi Kurt,

Do you know about the “compare tool” already? It’s cleverly hidden behind a little button with two arrows in the “Process” section header of the left tool panel. Outlined below in cyan.

It could be better in a lot of ways, no doubt, and in some cases it shows differences that aren’t different, or setting IDs instead of names… but it does help.

Cheers,
-Max

The Compare tool is very helpful. Save your modified profile as “Preset Inside Project”, then compare with the original profile. There is no way to save or export that report, but a screen capture might work if you add the image to the Project tab.

Some other ways to document changes:

  • Edit filament profiles to add Notes
  • Add text to Process→ Others→ Notes.
  • Add text to the plate, make the text object non-printable. Great for reminders.

Thanks Max I appreciate it.

Thanks, Ikraus. Great tips, I like the text to the plate - non printable. Very nice.
