I want to preface this by saying in now way am I trying to cheat the system or point farm. I’m just trying to get a better understanding if I should try and make these exclusive.
I just had my model taken out of the exclusive program for being hueforge. Now while I understand hueforge and 2D models aren’t allowed by the rules I think this solves a problem and isn’t just a hueforge that you would hang on a wall. These are game pieces more than anything and they are modular.
I’m planning on doing more of these 2d/hueforge type of things to add to this system. Like a house that is built from multiple panels but is printed from 4 hueforges/2d models. Also lava and water tiles.
I just want to avoid confusion in the future and don’t want to get banned from the program. I would love to hear your thoughts.
Those are actual pretty cool. Will save them for later for sure. And this coming from a guy that hates most hueforges
But… the fact that is a hueforge and a 2D, not complicated design, it takes value and in my opinion, Hueforges, Printmons, Make your Busts, 2D keychains and everything that is created by external software or AI generations, including the makerlab ones, should not be exclusive models.
Sadly the exclusive program is not working as it should and i get your frustration.
Again, those that you linked are pretty cool and creative and they should be considered to the exclusivity program. They are not “just” hueforges, they are art
Thanks! I saw that youtuber do it and thought I’d try. I don’t have time to paint stuff and I’m much more effective with a printer and a computer. I want to build out this easy to print multicolor dungeon thing and want to make sure I know if it’s exclusive eligible.
I wouldn’t add anything to the model, to be honest. It may seem that he is gaming the system. Instead don’t call it hueforge but other name, for example, Tiles “xxx”.
Again, i think it’s very well made and i am not a hueforge kind of person.
I put in a ticket to appeal. We will see what happens. Honestly I was thinking about taking out the whole part where I say where I got my inspiration from.
I started my journey with Makerworld on October 18th this year by uploading my first models – keychains featuring car brand logos. After reaching 100 prints, I became eligible to join the “Exclusive Models” program, which I promptly did. Before joining the program, I reviewed similar projects to ensure my models met the required criteria. Once I was confident they complied with the rules, I set these keychains as exclusive models.
To my surprise, after a month, all my models were removed from the program, and the points I had earned were taken away. As a result, I lost over 1500 points, leaving my balance negative. I immediately reached out to support to clarify the situation, but their response was a generic message stating that my models were “too 2D.”
I was shocked, as I noticed that there are still models in the program that are equally “2D” and have been there for over a year.
Ah! Welcome to the world of rule interpretation. Easy to do “wrong” when rules aren’t clear and definitive. And easier to do when they leave interpreting those rules to us until it’s time to lower the hammer.
Don’t know what to tell you except you aren’t the only one in that boat.
The exclusive program, however, has not existed for a year.
I feel like those are pretty clearly against the rules. You should not be looking at what other people are doing to see if something is allowed. I entered a fidget keychain into the travel contest (there were dozens of fidgets and keychains already), and they removed mine. You have to actually read the rules. (In my case, the rules didn’t really state much either way). In your case, it is pretty clear:
Just a heads up. Makerworld did get back to me. I definitely get where they are coming from now. I’m pretty sure somewhere they had posted that low effort hueforges would be removed. What was posted above definitely states that they will be removed.
Add me to the list of people who think these are really cool, and the best use of Hueforge I’ve seen. Don’t let this get you down and don’t give up on these.
