- Does the exhaust fan work to make negative pressure inside of the chamber while printing ABS? If not, should I still worry about the places where the printer leaks fumes?
- Should I put a filter on this exhaust fan (like activated carbon), or should I just vent it outside?
- What are you all using for filtering solutions? I was thinking about getting a bag of activated carbon, but I am not sure if I am on the right track.
I am not an expert and I do not have the P2S, but I print a lot with ABS for outdoor enclosures and my P1S is inside my office (next to me).
What I did first was
- hose from the exhaust fan directly out
But still smelled it when I printed ABS.
So I added
- Close the front door gap on the hinge side
- Close the poop door on the back as good as possible
Now I can smell it only after the print when I open the P1S door.
For printing ABS, I keep the exhaust fan OFF, as I want the chamber to keep as warm as possible.
I start the exhaust only after the print has finished and the bed has cooled down. Otherwise you might get warping, depending on the part you print, because it cools down too fast.

Had not thought of the door…. Got the poop chute covered. Just need to whip a model for the exterior exit.
