Would like to have the ability to lock exposure and have the option to increase/decrease exposure of the camera in Bambu Studio. Both white and black filament is hard to see on the camera and auto exposure changes when the extruder head is moving.
That would be a useful feature.
Better exposure control is possible, but I would not hold my breath while waiting for it.
The X1Plus firmware for the X1C allows a user to SSH into the Linux shell and adjust the camera settings with commands like v4l2-ctl --device /dev/video20 --set-ctrl exposure_absolute=5000.
There are many other adjustments:
I’ve played with the settings, found many that did not help and some that made only marginal improvements, and now I rely on automatic exposure again. The camera is just not that great, only good enough to monitor the print. If you want a better view, you need a better camera.
