Since this isn’t exactly the same as extruder overload, I figured I’d start a new post.
I’m using 100% Bambu everything. PETG/PLA on their spools in their AMS out-of-the-box on the P2S assembled as instructed. Using all Bambu profiles and presets on a Bambu PEI plate.
I’ve had 2 clogs so far. And not in the nozzle, up in the extruder. One using PETG and one using PLA. It seems to have happened when filament swaps. The PETG was when the spool ran out and I went to load the new spool and couldn’t because the runout from the last spool clogged in the extruder. The PLA happened mid-print during a colour swap. It actually had three filament colours clogged in there.
That’s my only complaint. The print quality and everything is fine, but so far my experience is this new model is not handling filament swapping well at all.
This is my first AMS 2 Pro as well so it’s hard for me to tell if it’s an extrusion issue, feed issue, or AMS issue.
In comparison, I had the P1S with original AMS for 10 months and 2000hrs of printing and never once had an extruder issue and only ever had 1 nozzle clog.
Everyone knows it’s usually safer to wait before buying a newly released gadget, and this is especially true for 3D printers. Still, I couldn’t resist and I’m waiting for mine to arrive. It’s to be expected that there will be some issues typical of the first units, which will be smoothed out as new firmware versions for the BambuLab P2S are released.
Yeah I thought this used primarily H2S components so it would be pretty solid on day 1. I’m sure it’ll iron out, just a bit frustrating coming from the P1S working near flawless for me. I still don’t regret it because I’m sure this will work itself out. I’ve had successful prints since this with filament swaps. Fingers crossed!
Same thing is happening with my P2S… 3 colour print… Every time the nozzle clogs and the extruder jams with broken filament… I get it’s a new printer but fgs…
Update: I’ve had no issues since cleaning out the last clog. Many colour swaps and it hasn’t done it again. I read other posts about the nozzle not installed correctly and I’m thinking this might’ve been the case. I did notice it’s kind of “loose” and just sits in there and it looks easy to even clamp it a bit crooked. They should’ve made something more secure I think to place it in the right position before clamping. Some dowels or slots. I think taking it off to clear the clog I reinstalled it better and fixed the issue. Fingers crossed again!

I’ve had my printer less than 30 days and its spent most of it clogged (at less than 100 hours of print time). I noticed they released an update about the over heating nozzle and wondered if there is an issue there as all the filament stuck in mine is over heated strands (which i guess most would be due to being next to the nozzle and then the extruder cant get rid of it. Or is it just a poor design?
